I'm still a newbie at hacking so. All I use is Tile layer pro. uh SNES sprite editor. Stake (A castlevania specific editor). Bout all I know how to use now. I hope to expand on stuff later tho.
Curious. what does a pokemon hacker hack? Add new pokemon? new levels? text changes? what? |

It all depends on what I'm doing... UltraEdit-32 serves all of my hex-editing needs. FCEUd is useful for NES debugging (but it still lacks some useful features) Genesis: GENS (haven't used it much yet, so I can't give much of an opinion )
Other than that, it's all game and purpose specific.... |

In no particualr order: Hex WorkShop, notepad, TextPad, calc, MinGW, Photoshop, TLP, YY-CHR, emulators ... etc. As for specific emulators I use? Here is a small list:

For certain games, I use different things. But for your practical hacking job (Kirby's Adventure right now) I am using:
Hex Workshop (I used to use Sniper Hex, but boycotted that after a little "incident"), TLP, YY-CHR (I switch depending on the mood I'm in ), FCEUD, Corrupster, Notepad (gotta take notes), and occasionally C++ (editor in works, but I'm still learning C++ ). So, yea, that's about it. |

Depends what I'm hacking. Usually Hex Workshop, Notepad, Calculator, and an emulator (NO$GMB for GB, ZSnes for SNES, FCEUd for NES, PJ64 for N64, VBA for GBA), plus any specific editors for the game. |

hrm i think i remember seeing a topic on this... but im sure there are some new tools that are used. anyhow right now im using Hex Workshop Tile Layer Pro and ZSNES and i use a few editors if i see a good one O_o |
