Hm, Ultima 7 (And it's sequal, Serpent Isle) is a good game.. but you'd probably need Exult to get it to run on a modern PC. |

I never could get it to run on my system, but it is invariably touted as one of the better CRPGs ever created. It runs on the same engine and ruleset as either of the Baldur's Gate games, but it concentrates more on roleplaying while the BG series is relatively combat-heavy (though quite RP-intensive, as well). |

Diablo II isn't technically an RPG but if you like action/adventure/RPG hybrids then go for it.
If you've never played FF7 or FF8, hunt down one of the PC equivalents. |

If you didn't enjoy Neverwinter Nights then perhaps this is a longshot, but I found Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn to be the best games I've ever played. The first one is quite old by now, so if you can find it cheap then I'd suggest trying it out. If you hate it, no big loss, but if you like it then Shadows of Amn is essentially identical in terms of most game functions; it also brings its prequel's plot to a dramatic close. |

Knights of the Old Republic. And if he didn't care too much for NWN and Morrowind, he might not like KOTOR, even if it is amazingly sweet. |

Does anyone know a good RPG that's for the PC? I played NWN and Morrowind, and they were alright IMO (lots of others loved them), but I want a Final Fantasy style RPG. And an offline one |
