If you just use it for older games not compatible with other OSes, try finding an old serial controller on eBay. It'd be your best bet. |

Well, I dunno. The PC is mainly for old games and such. I would love if it would work though. |

Actually, it's Windows 95B... 95C has IE4 integrated like Windows 98 did. |

I hope it's at least the latest version of 95 (95C?). That wasn't too bad. |

Who the hell still use Win95 ? Even on my oldest computer, I have 2k installed. Well, you have to download the drivers for your gamepad and install them manually. This is win95 after all. I don't know how 95 deal with USB since I didn't had usb ports at the time I was using win95... |

If you want Win2K, get WinXP and turn the skins off. |

Then I'd say get an OS that isn't 5 years old... but at least Win2k is still SUPPORTED. |

The USB support built into Windows 95 is very primitive... (then again, it wasn't much better in 98 or Me either ). I was lucky once to get a USB hard disk working in Win95, but I had to do a bit of .inf hacking
But seriously, do what Tomguy said. Get Windows 2000 or something. |

Get an OS that isn't 10 years old.
Windows 95 with USB support is like a Packard with ABS support. You can patch it, try to make it have modenr features, but it just won't work. If your computer is that much of a piece of crap that it can't even handle Windows 98, then try to find a serial gamepad if they still make them. |

Ok. I have a gamepad and a PC. The PC is running Windows 95 with USB support. I got a driver installed and the computer recognizes the gamepad, but not as a gamepad. Instead it's grouped as HIDClass or something. Anyone know what I can do to make it work? |
