Well, yeah, but that's not going to stop anyone from doing it.

I can't stop you from doing it but I could stop my brother from doing it. He's such a snitch using savestates and cheats in my own hack.

What hack was that?

And what if the executable doesn't work on someone's computer? That's a really, REALLY stupid idea right there.

I've seen a hack that been changed to .exe format so cheat and savestate won't work, but...Its extremely hard to do

Uh, last I checked, ROM hacks aren't exactly legal. A lawsuit would get you absolutely nowhere, except maybe on the receiving end of a lawsuit from Nintendo themselves, should your case attract enough attention.

Not that I'm endorsing selling hacks for profit, but this part of the disclaimer is totally useless.

You made them frank, Well, sorry about ripping your levels but that I didn't know it was you. I thought Acmlm made it since I played it. Anyway I updated you in the Credits.

For those who NEVER read my Readme makes me sick and it bothers me SO MUCH. Out of all people ask me for the same thing over and over again. The author of this hack IS NOT RESPONSIBLE WITH YOUR QUOTES. I have the results for it.

Super Mario Bros. 3 The lost levels for Mario all-stars.

DISCLAIMER
Do not continue reading until you read this disclaimer first.

1)I am not responsible for any effects, adverse or otherwise, this program may have on your computer, your sanity, your dog, or anything else.

2) Some of the levels are not done by me because I used some of their NES levels. But however i'll gave them credit for their work (Look in the credits)

Result: Some people never gave yourself credit. Otherwise I do not know who made the level. THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE.

3)Do not ask or e-mail me for any ROMS or an IPS patch because that request will be ignored and deleted.

Result: At least 6 people asked me for the US version of Mario-all stars ROM. MAKES ME SICK.

4)Do not ask me about when should I make a NES version of it. Why because if I had made it, I would save them in the .m3l file and converted to the NES ROM. Normally I've overwritten the .m3l file for a new level.

Result: Some people in Insectduel's Lost levels vs. Megabytes Lost levels forum actually want me to make an NES version of it. GET IT FROM MEGABYTE AT Zophar.net

5) The makers of this patch are not associated with Nintendo or any other involved companies, nor are they affiliated with the makers of ZSNES, Mario Improvement 3, Lunar IPS or any other programs mentioned in this document. If you install this patch on your computer, you do so completely at your own risk.

6) Selling it for profit without permission from me is illegial and will be sued.

7) The following levels that you want to edit my .smc ROM hack using Lincolnsoft's Mario Improvement 3 without permission and using them in your .smc hack is strictly prohibitted. (unless you give all credit to us)

Result: That means You can Borrow my levels unless you give the author credit that makes the level. Otherwise that is considered as stealing.

CAUTION: The following levels that can't be editable are
and saving them into the M3i level editor.
(Counted by the Original level names)
World 1-2 Bonus Area
World 1-5's Enemies (Haven't use them in the level editor, just the HEX Editor)
World 2 Boss Room (Added World 1 Boss Room Objects that went above the #of bytes)
World 3-4 (Causes enemies to disappear)
World 4-6 (Unless to switch to Giant Object)
World 5-5 (Unless to switch to Cloudy Object)
World 6 Dungeon #1 (Somewhat Buggy)
World 6-4 (Added World 1-4's Objects that went above the #of bytes)
World 6-6 Enemies (Causes enemies to disrupt the color)
World 6 airship (Somewhat Buggy)
World 6 Anchor's away (Somewhat Buggy)
World 7 Dungeon 1 Enemies (Connected to 7 Dungeon 2)
World 7 Dungeon 2 Enemies (Connected to World 7 Dungeon Lonely Room)
World 7 Dungeon Ending Enemies (Connected to World 7 Dungeon)
World 8 Hand Trap 2 (Oops wrong offset)
World 8 Ship 1 Boss Room (Deleted Objects?!)

And of course some of the objects have been added or deleted, which means those are not the current existing objects.

DO NOT USE CHEATS IN MY HACK SERIOUSLY. IT IS WRONG TO DO IT.

Thank you for your time.

But it wasn't Strange Mario Bros. 3 at all! Or maybe there were some levels from that, but the levels I speak of were not from Strange Mario Bros. 3, and Acmlm did not make them. I made them, and they're from a primative release of my second Super Mario Bros. 3 hack, which was NOT Strange Mario Bros. 3!

No... that's from my Super Mario Bros. 3 hack. Specifically, the second one. Specifically, a very early release of that hack when it was hardly finished. That specific level has been made easier.

For that matter, a lot of these levels seem to be based on the levels in that "old, unfinished" version of my second Super Mario Bros. 3 hack. The first fortress, the second fortress, 2-2, 3-4, that particular level having undergone a complete overhaul for the finished hack, since it really wasn't that good, anyway. Heck, 5-2 in your hack is 1-1 in my second Super Mario Bros. 3 hack, except without the bonus room.

I'm not sure if it bothers me more that I don't remember being asked for permission to use any of this, or that you credited the wrong person for a lot of these levels!

Look in the credits, I gave all of you credit. If I did'nt gave you credit, that would be consider as stealing.

Strangebros 3 is my favorite hack so I would like to thank you for making it for the NES Frank15.

WHAT!?

I feel so... STUPID, can I get a link to this "m3i for xp."
Hey, and on the subject of smb3, I found some Lakitu related offsets.
8E5E-84-Determines which sprite Lakitu throws. (Red Spiny Egg)
8E67-85-Determines the other sprite Lakitu throws. (Green Spiny Egg)
113F99-84-Same but for SMAS. (Red)
113FA2-85-Same but for SMAS. (Green)
I suggest Fire Spitting Hammer Bros. and Normal Hammer Bros.
The graphics only work in SMAS though.

Hopefully World 6 might become more and more harder than the Original SMB3. (Even 6-7 which is one of the real lost levels of an ice level where you swim with an autoscrolling that moves like the Original 7-4)

I'm currently going through this hack for the second time (while I'm at home on the computer, that is), and I have to say that I like it. The only problem that comes readily to mind is how some of the levels (the airships, mainly) have glitched sprites, like the walking bob-oms, but that's easily overlooked. It's just weird seeing what seems to be a piece of wood walking back and forth, then exploding

I don't know what other people think about it, but I like how you edited the overworlds to force the player to complete every level. I didn't touch any of the special things on the overworld (N-spade cards, coin ships, mushroom houses, and the white spade square), which doesn't really make a difference in the long run, but the overworlds were still well-designed if you ask me.

As for the levels, seeing as I don't have the game in front of me, I can't mention any specifically, but they were, overall, a nice challenging change from the originals. Nothing like "Ultimate SMB3" or whatever the proper name is (which is a good thing, if you ask me )

Altogether, I have to say nice work. I like this hack

I wonder you guys played World 5 yet. The backgrounds are quite interesting including Dungeon#2 which has the cloudy background. World 5-3 and World 5 Tower is quite an interesing level.

Crimson, you insensitive buffoon, pressing the CONTROL key won't solve anything!

And to you Mac users, I highly recommend the Matias keyboard. Very, very pleasant on the fingers.

Ok... Look at your keyboard. See the 'A' key? Put your finger on that, but don't press it. Move your finger to the left until you feel another key, press down, and then let go.

Well I've played World 1 so far, and my reaction is quite lukewarm. There were a number of graphical glitches such as the hills in 1-5, the little ghosts thingies in the World 1 fort, the bombs in the airship, and the disc thrown by the pirhana in 1-6. Plus, the levels still look like the originals, there are no apparent header changes as far as I can see. I don't know if there's any header data known, I don't hack SMB3 for SMAS, but the lack of header changes takes away from a feeling a new levels. I think if you changed the header up a bit in levels, and fixed the glitches, it would be better, because the level design is decent.

I''ve been waitng to speak to you for a very long time. First of all you should look in the Smasdemo Readme. It clearly says that the ENEMY SPRITE GRAPHICS IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN THE NES VERSION. WHICH MEANS WHAT HUKKA (Creator of Mario 3 Workshop) SAID ABOUT ENEMY GRAPHICS IS THAT THE ENEMIES ACT LIKE SUPER MARIO WORLD. SECOND OF ALL THE OBJECTS IN MARIO ALL STARS IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE NES VERSION SO I DO NOT NEED TO FIX THE HEADER CHANGES.

THESE THINGS ARE NOT GLITCHES PERIOD.

Thank you!
Now my progress is soaring. I needed the ice level for smas, but I don't have DOS so I can't use M3I. Which means that I can't edit smas with an editor. Have to go right into hex.
