I like the demo and the of course the new sprites from YI,too.
Keep up the good work and fix the OW glitches.

Hey, it does glitch up there! Silly me. A bridge is supposed to appear there. I'll go fix that. Edit: I was unable to get the bridge to pop up for some reason, but I did get a ledge to rise out of the ocean and create a path. I hope that's good enough.

This version seemed easier. Keep that up.

And the overworld glitched after I beat the second castle. It wasn't a major glitch, and it was only one little section of the overall map. I didn't use a savestate or anything wacky like that from a previous version either.

Yes, I know. read the edit of my last post. It happens with goal blocks, put too many in and they screw up every sprite after them. I replaced them with instant kill blocks, and I'll upload the corrected ROM just as soon as I fix the other bug I found.

Okay, I deleted the post and reposted it. You know you wouldn't have looked back had I just edited it =/

Anyway, I uploaded the new copy.

I thought you had to avoid the spheres. Thanks again!

EDIT: The springs not there sometimes, I jump from realy high up and I see the spring as I fall to my doom, but when I take the correct way the springs not there. This is a big bug.

1. Yeah, the overworld can be glitched if you change something then don't reset the game and instead load a save state. Reset it, it should work fine after that.

2. Exactly! You have to avoid the spheres. There's a spring hidden in the grass at the bottom, perhaps you didn't see it. Use it to jump up to the area with the goal. There's no keyhole for that key, that's just to mess with people.

EDIT: Sorry... It seems that while it appeared in my tests, that spring doesn't appear for some reason. I'll fix that, then re-upload it.

Ok no problem, but I noticed 2 things 1: your overworld is really glitched up after dino world 3, and 2: Is it me or is Lucid plains unbeatable? All the ? circles make mario run off the cliff and die right before he beats the level, The goal point at the end is WAY to high to get up to, and I've searched the level but found absolutly no keyhole for the key in the begginning, are those mistakes or is there a way out?

Thanks! But are those blocks that hurt you the pirahnas you said? If so their messed up and look like regular blocks which, you should fix (unless it's intentional).

That leads to Star World, which I haven't made yet. You'll notice that when I don't want you to go somewhere, it involves a secret exit which is obscenely well-hidden.

Run to the end, taking the high path doesn't get you there fast enough. Grab the rope at the end and get in the very middle, too high and the piranhas will kill you, too low and it won't work. (EDIT: Sorry, I said Piranhas because I meant to give those an off-color mini-piranha GFX, but then didn't. Heh ^^;; I will in the final version, though.) By being in the very middle you'll get forced off of the rope by a gray block. This for whatever reason makes everything blank work like chain mesh. Climb down to the ground and run to the left, all the way back to the beginning. Jump and climb up the air and go over the area you started at, but don't touch the rope hanging there. Fall down and then grab ahold near the bottom, and then climb to the side under the rope until you get to the key. Grab it, jump up above the rope, and then run to the end *again*. Throw the key straight up, jump, and start climbing on air. Hold the run/'hold button and the key will fall onto you and you'll grab it while climbing. Then climb over to the keyhole.

I'm stumped, how do you reach the key and keyhole of verdant island the key in under the rope and the keyhole is ontop of damage blocks, you could put the answer in a black spoiler box but just help please.

On Verdant Island near the end with the long rope is it supposed to happend if you get the right spot while hanging onto the rope you run into the cement block and then the game still acts as if your hanging onto the rope.

For those of you wondering how to enter The Hall of 1337Hax0rz, which does not appear on the path...

In Lucid Ice Cavern, get a fire flower from the pipe near the start. Exit and burn the ice blocks in your path, then head to the right and take the silver POW block. Go back and go through the pipe, then go back in. blow down the ice blocks again, and go over to the right and throw the silver POW you took through on to the cliff area. Throw the new Silver POW up there as well. Go back and take the spring, then place it down as far right as you can go at the moment, then jump on it to get up there. Hit both Silver POWs. burn the frozen blocks with munchers in them that are closest to the start and since the Silver POW is active they'll turn to coins. Go and collect the coins, and you'll fall through and the ground you touched will dissappear when you touch it because of the Silver POW you brought through the pipe. Don't move left or right much, just let yourself fall and you'll get to the key and keyhole.
