There are tons of things in the EU set before the movies, and since Knights of the Old Republic is set 4000 years before the Battle of Yavin, I'm pretty sure it would be a lot smarter to call it a stand-alone story than a prequel. |

*long dramatic voice* Oh my god, no.
The THX Digitally Remastering is all that should have been done to the original Trilogy. Other than that, I hated most of the added parts, minus the conversation with Han and Jabba in IV, and the victory scenes at multiple planets at the end of VI.
Other than that, I think the newly added material took away from the original films. That new song in the beginning of VI, with those annoying dancing CG characters? Annoying as hell. |

A better elaberation.
Actually, it sounds possibly true now.
It would be pretty cool too, to see a Star Wars movie with the actual Sith army in it instead of just two Sith all the time.
Still, my hopes aren't up, but as this short interview says, anythings possible. 
And as I was always saying before RoTS came out, I didn't believe it would be the last Star Wars movie we'd be seeing in theaters.
