No. It wouldn't. Because despite his disability, someone without use of their legs has the ability, from a biological standpoint, to stand upright. Current status just prevents him from doing so. Besides, he still wouldn't be considered standing up if he was collapsed on the ground, like you suggested. He'd be considered "collapsed on the ground." |

A cripple in a wheel chair maybe? No offense to anyone but a cripple would collapse if he stood up that would make him taller when he was sitting down wouldn't it? |

A dog, of course. Or technically almost any four-legged mammal, especially of the canine or feline varieties. |

this may be abit perverted, but I'd say a horny man has a certain part of him that might be higher in the air when he's sitting down than when he's standing up [if you don't catch on I'm talking about his dick :p first thing that came to my mind, but I'm just a pervert] |

a guy on a barstool?
Edit: according to a footnote in this http://africa.wisc.edu/ala2004/seminars/scheub/noss.pdf, the answer is a dog. |

"What is taller when sitting down than it is when standing up?"
I've been mulling over this one for a week now, and cannot come up with even a shot in the dark sort of answer. I just have no idea. Anyone have any ideas on the subject? |
