A bit off topic, but when I heard about this game, I thought it was based on a daytime TV comedy that was on TV called "Out of this World" and it had Full House semantics featuring an alien.

But, I would love to play this game. I think I should give this a shot.

If you know where to look, getting Heart of the Alien shouldn't be a difficult task. Also a good Sega emulator is Gens, it plays Genesis/Megadrive, CD, and 32X.

The game looks exactly like Out of this World, except you play as the alien buddy that helped you in the first game. The game is amazingly difficult, I still haven't beaten it. Another cool feature is that Heart of the Alien comes with the full Out of this World game too. =]

Ok!

I really have no idea. It's great anyway that they released it for free now.

What a trip! I haven't played this game in ages! (I loaded it onto my flash cart and there's still no in-game music, btw)

How cool! I remember Out of this World so much, it's crazy to see it again. Why couldn't the person who made this find a company to pick it up and sell it as a retail game on the GBA, and make money?

ARRRRRRGH!

THEY'RE .ISOs. NOT ROMS.

GET IT STRAIGHT.

CD SYSTEMS = .ISOs.

CARTRIDGES = ROMS.

Kefka: In spite of that, you're REALLY toeing the line like that.

EDIT: Okay, so I edited Kefka's post a bit. Yeah, it's still toeing the line, but at least he's not asking about the wrong thing anymore.

Heart of the Alien? Can't say I've played that game.

This is pretty cool though.

If you guys haven't already, you should also check out "Flashback" for the SNES or Genesis (SNES version has better controls). It's the same style of game, but has kind of more of a storyline to it. Awesome setting also.

But... but... that other guy said the SNES version sucked

Oh well... I guess I'll find a SNES rom of it too. What's a good Sega CD emulator, and where can I find it? (I'm NOT asking about a rom, so I can't get in trouble )

But if anyone wants to... um... PM anything about Sega CD... games...that are in a format I can play with one of these emulators...then that'll be ok too. I have never played a Sega CD game before

See, I still didn't ask about roms

Sequel, huh?

I presume it plays like the original (IE puzzle-game-cleverly-disguised-as-an-action-game)?

I'm glad they ported it from the PC version instead of the SNES version, since the SNES version is slightly inferior. Also, has anyone played it's SEGA-CD sequel, Heart of the Alien? That game is HARD.

Download a rom legally? SWEET! I never played that game before, but I'm sure I will enjoy it. Although, my flash card is acting funky right now. It deleted all of my Final Fantasy 3 data mysteriously, as well as all other savestates. Now it won't even save states for FF3! I think I need to get a new cart sometime before I get this rom

I don't seem to remember there being a lot of music in-game, actually. Mainly during suspenseful parts.

Woah, I heard about this for a week ago. Why I didn't download it is beyond me.

This is cool, we need more high quality public domain Roms.

Which backround music? The music in the intro works nicely, but there seem to be no music in ingame (and somehow, I think it's more mysterious that way)... and this is a very nicely animated game. I never played the orginal thought.

The original author of Another World (Game was called Out of this World in the US), a game originally released on PC and later also on SNES (for example) has converted this gem to GBA. And even better, you can download it for free and legal!

Too bad that they took out the background music, or is it just my emulator playing up? Maybe somebody could test this game on the real GBA (if you own a Flash card) and tell me if the background music works for him?
