yeah, I never heard of it until I checked out that ssb clone, then I thought it was pretty cool, if I see one anywhere, and I have any money, I might buy one, if I can find some games and stuff for it. |

You could always buy a GP32 and try it out. But I only know three or four people (including myself) who actually own one. |

yeah that was the problem with my ssb clone, it just kinda got boring...and im not good at making gfx and I couldnt find anyone to make gfx and stuff, I had a titlescreen, and a menu coded in, but not much further after that.
as for the YI editor, yea im still working on it, sometimes a couple hours a day, I usually have about that much to work on it, but I havent had that much time in the past few days, and im not as far as I was on my old PC, but I should be soon. |

You're still working on it? That rocks! If you make an editor, I won't feel so bad about not having time to work on EggVine!
Anyway, I've started making a Smash Brothers clone at least a dozen times, but I've never gotten very far. I'm sure many others could say the same thing.
I wouldn't mind playing a good one though. Someone should do it. |

I thought a while ago chaosflare was making his own 2-d smash bros game... but he also was making the Yoshi's Island editor that I've still never seen a glimpse of. |

You do realize that Super Smah Bros. IS in 2-D, but all of the objects and sprites are in 3-D?
Besides, why have a SSB in 2-D, when we should concentrate on making the current one online-accessable? That would be worth it, in my eyes. |

Actually believe it or not. A homebrew was done. It was a Snes homebrew on an old gone site in which I cant rember the name but i can remeber the layout. It was always down, the link that is, until one day I actually got it to download and played it and it ended up being just a Mario vs Luigi battle with a target text included. It obviously wasent completed. It was very glitchy and only like 4 moves worked anyways. I dont have the game anymore SO DONT ASK. My computer has been formatted at least 3 times since. Anyways I think it would be cool to try and make one. |

Go play Kart Fighter. Unless you are planning to make your own (hack or homebrew) that's the closest thing you will get. |

umm, no? I dont think that would be possible without making a completly new game. N64 editing is quite hard (at least thats what I've heard), and making it as an edit for smb1-3 would be pretty much impossible.
2D ssb would be interesting to see if it used more than 16 colours tho. Maby something like 24 bit instead of 8 would be cool. Of corse that would need to be coded in java (or c++ etc.) |
